Founded in 1992, KINDER FILM TOKYO has been coordinating several film festivals in Japan every year. “Kodomotachino Kinder Film Festival Tokyo” is Japan’s largest International film festival for children, and it takes place in Aoyama and Chofu city every summer. Kinder Film Tokyo co-hosts events and film festivals with local governments and has attracted large audiences. Kinder Film Tokyo offers tailor made film festivals – designed, coordinated, and produced to match your expectations, and specializes in creating warm and unique film festivals.

Along with the Director Renate Zylla in Germany, Kinder Film Tokyo visits Berlin International Film Festival to discover the best and latest films from around the world. Kinder Film Tokyo imports quality foreign films that are hard to see in Japan.

Kinder Film Tokyo creates “film festivals that everyone loves”. The programs are unusual in that many of the programs offer “live voice-overs” by Japanese voice actors right beside the screen. These programs fascinate both children and adults alike.

Cultivate your “Energy of the Heart” through films

Today we are facing an increasing number of grievous news footage around and involving children. Through the films selected by our own perspective, we offer children an opportunity to develop their “Energy of the Heart” and to learn more about their vision and morals.

International Cultural Exchanges through films

Children come into contact with some different cultures and societies through many kinds of films and animations all over the world in our festival, and they can enhance their own “global mind and character” with them. We hope Kodomotachino Kinder Film Festival Tokyo (KKFFT) would be a kind of forum for the international cultural exchange between children in Japan and all around the world.

Feeling films through your Body and Soul

KKFFT has lots of workshop for children like “Voice Over Workshop”, “Animation Workshop”, and “Voice Over Screenings”. They offer children an opportunity to “feel” films with all their senses, and provide an emotional richness to the young who will lead of the culture and artistic activity of the next generation.
